Anna Chancellor came to fame playing Henrietta (Duck Face) in Four Weddings and a Funeral in 1994. Since then she has been a regular on stage and on screen, including roles in Kavanagh QC, Spooks and the award–winning The Hour. She is currently starring in Noël Coward's Private Lives at the Gielgud Theatre, London.

In 1979 the glove-maker Cornelia James was granted a Royal warrant to make gloves for the queen. She’d been making gloves since fleeing the Nazis in 1939.
Over 3 decades later her daughter, Genevieve and husband Andrew still make gloves, helped by a small team of expert sewers and machinists, in the same way and on the tried and trusted machines - some made over a century ago. In the first of a short series on how the ancient skills of manufacturing are still alive and thriving today, you can hear how in the world of gloves “old is new”.

Elaine Chalus is a History Professor organising the Georgian Pleasures Conference at Holburne Gardens in Bath.
Elaine is from Canada, She first became interested in the 18th Century because she realised that in order to understand her Native Canada she needed to understand 18th Century England.
ELIZABETH PERRÉE :: THE ISLAND OF SARK

Elizabeth Perrée has lived and worked all her life on the tiny island of Sark. She runs the Michelin–starred La Sablonniere hotel and restaurant on Little Sark, and describes what it was like growing up in this bucolic paradise with no cars, just horses, bicycles and tractors to get around.
