Joey agrees to have coffee with Lauren but insists they should take things slowly. Lauren spends the day at a loose end after arranging to go to R&R with Lucy and Whitney that evening. Kirsty reassures Lauren when she worries she’s boring without alcohol. Lucy and Whitney stick to soft drinks in solidarity with Lauren and the girls have fun. But, at R&R, Lauren insists her friends drink alcohol. Joey’s not happy about this and Whitney realises he’s scared she’ll tell Lauren they slept together. When Lauren returns from phoning Max the truth comes out. Lauren walks out, claiming she’s fine. Sharon won’t let Joey follow. Outside Lauren breaks down and takes a sip of vodka, then spits it out.

Sadie’s not happy when Sam reveals the salon needs re-wiring. At Joey’s suggestion, she sets up a pop up salon in R&R. Sadie’s caterer falls through, Ian pitches for the job and makes sample canapés; when Sadie won’t commit, Ian attempts to charge her. Denise’s furious when she overhears Sadie booking another caterer. Sadie’s new caterer lets her down and she offers Ian the job; Denise’s bemused when he accepts.

Michael taunts Danny, the difference between them is that he has his own business; Janine doesn’t have the whip hand. Danny later tells Janine he’s found a way they can make Michael’s life difficult.

Max crows to Carl that Kirsty’s moved back in. Impressed by Joey’s salon idea, Sharon lets him manage R&R for the night. Joey finds drugs in the club and realises Carl’s dealing. Upset after Lauren leaves, Joey confronts Carl who in return makes threats about Alice.

Tamwar oversees the arrival of a temporary market toilet. When Kat and Bianca insist he uses it himself, Winston traps him inside. Eventually Alice comes along and enlists Bianca to help release him.
