Billy’s ironing in preparation for his date with Ava. Lola’s putting on the pressure for him to come to Sharon’s dinner for an hour so she can find the pills – she’s worried Lexi’s life might be in danger. Reluctant, he agrees.
Tanya bumps into Ava who’s on the phone to Billy, arranging the details. Tanya twigs it’s a date and sets about to give her a pampering session at the salon. They talk romance but when Ava runs out to persuade Dexter to stay to the dinner, Tanya tells her to think of herself…what happens when Dexter meets a girl? Dexter agrees to dinner but when the door goes and Ava expects it to be Billy, she’s stunned to find Sam. He hears Dexter calling Ava and asks if that’s his son.
Roxy and Alfie gossip about potential announcements behind the Mitchell dinner – Shirley’s put out she’s not invited. At the dinner, Lola’s on the lookout, slipping out to check Sharon’s bag, only to be caught by Phil. When Billy catches Sharon pouring away her wine, he becomes suspicious, while Lola cites Sharon stumbling and mistaking his drink for evidence of her unsteadiness. Roxy and Alfie fish to see if Sharon’s pregnant. Billy leaves for his date and Lola slips out to take off Lexi to stay the night at hers, just as Trish arrives.
When Bianca catches Carol complaining about Max talking about his and Kirsty’s sex life, she twigs Carol’s jealous. AJ and Bianca plot to leave the house empty for Carol and Masood. They’re not impressed . Max tells Kirsty he’s booked their next scan privately.
Jean’s excited, off to Ian’s to discuss new menus for the restaurant, thinking he’s offered her a job there. When she arrives, she finds he’s set her a cooking audition…
