OCD Action (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder)
OCD Action is a national charity focusing on Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). We provide support and information to anybody affected by OCD, work to raise awareness of the disorder amongst the public and frontline healthcare workers, and strive to secure a better deal for people with OCD. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is a debilitating mental health condition affecting between 1-2% of the UK population. It is often trivialised and misunderstood by health professionals and the general public, and the lack of awareness of both the seriousness of OCD and the treatments available is a tragedy for those whose lives are destroyed by the disorder, and for their loved ones
Our vision is of a society where OCD is better understood and diagnosed quickly, where appropriate treatment options are open and accessible, where support and information are readily available and where nobody feels ashamed to ask for help. We provide a range of vital services for anyone affected by OCD, from a national support and information helpline for people making their first steps to recovery through to one-to-one Advocacy support championing those most in need.
OCD action provides ongoing support for people during their treatment

OCD Action offers vital peer support through forums and local groups
