Ken Bruce presents a special evening of music and readings to mark Good Friday, with Penelope Keith, the Bach Choir and the BBC Concert Orchestra.

The most dramatic events in Christian history are retold in an evening of music and readings, presented by Ken Bruce, to mark Good Friday.

Music from Handel's Messiah frames this seasonal meditation in which Penelope Keith reads the Good Friday story from the gospel accounts and poetry.

Recorded in front of an audience in the Edwardian splendour of Methodist Central Hall in Westminster, the Bach Choir and BBC Concert Orchestra will be conducted by David Hill, with soloists Philippa Hyde (soprano), Anna Harvey (mezzo), Richard Dowling (tenor), Marcus Farnsworth (bass), and the BBC Radio 2 Young Choristers of the Year 2012 - Isaac Waddington and Louisa Stirling. Producer: Mark O'Brien.
