Last year 25,000 left Northern Ireland to find work and start a new life somewhere else. Departure Diaries tells the story of some of those emigrants in the weeks and months leading up to departure day.

In this programme, the Banbridge teacher forced to look for a job overseas, the family leaving their dream home near Bellaghy for the Isle of Man and the young couple looking for work and a better life in Australia.
