This week Douglas Fraser is looking beyond the glass ceiling and examining efforts to get more women into Britain's boardrooms. Looking at the top 100 companies listed in London, only 16% of directors are female. Now
there's pressure for action on this inequality, coming from the UK Government and from the European Commission, backed by the threat of legislated quotas. The programme also considers whether changes in labour laws will encourage more women to return to work after having children.
