Dan Walker and guests are in Poland for a special, comprehensive preview of the 2012 European Championships just days before they get under way.

Under the leadership of experienced new manager Roy Hodgson, England are desperate to perform better than they did at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. Former England striker Alan Shearer talks exclusively to Wayne Rooney, who is suspended for the first two matches, about their ambitions.

Defending champions Spain are also assessed along with the other favourites to emerge victorious from the gruelling three-week tournament: wily and mentally tough Germany, along with the Robin van Persie-inspired Netherlands.
