Clare Balding hosts coverage from Epsom Downs of the first day of the Derby Festival. The highlight on the track is the Oaks. One of Britain's horse racing classics, it is run over the same course and distance as the Derby, but is open only to three-year-old fillies. In 2011 Dancing Rain triumphed in a thrilling race.

Off the course it is ladies' day and the most elegant and stylish racegoers will be the centre of attention. Clare will be joined by Rishi Persad and Sonali Shah whilst race commentary comes from Jim McGrath.
