The office of fair trading has called for tighter regulation of dentists as they claim that 500,000 patients a year are given inaccurate information regarding treatment in order to charge more.

A report by the Scottish Agricultural College's Rural Policy Centre says that the recession could kill off a number of towns all over Scotland with the most vulnerable being Campbeltown and Dunoon.
