The highlight of the Welsh racing calendar, the Welsh National features the top trainers and jockeys competing for one of the most prestigious races of the National Hunt season. One of four races being covered, the Welsh National involves two circuits of the famous Chepstow track. The horses must clear 20 fences over three miles and five-and-a-half furlongs - just under six kilometres.
