Zainab anxiously prepares for Yasmin’s first birthday party, determined for the day to be a success. Guilty, Christian’s bought Yasmin a teddy bear but is excluded from the celebrations. Amira thinks life would be easier without Christian; Syed’s adamant that that’s not a life he wants. Stressed, Zainab approaches Yusef for more pills. Having spent the day anxiously waiting for the paternity test results, Yusef realises that Rose has inadvertently taken them home. During the party, the Masoods are shocked when Qadim arrives, demanding Amira come home now. Meanwhile, Yusef presents Christian with the test results. When faced with an ultimatum by Qadim, Amira chooses the Masoods, leaving Qadim floored. Later, Christian confronts Syed and Amira with the paternity test results – Yasmin’s not Syed’s daughter. Amira insists it’s not true, Syed’s devastated. When Masood refuses to believe the test, Syed leaps to Christian’s defence. Masood tells Syed he doesn’t think Christian falsified the test - someone else did.
Ben, Abi and Lola plan to steal booze from Kim’s Halloween party and R&R. They’re turned away by the bouncer but sneak Liam, in costume, into the party; he emerges with a bowl of punch. Abi’s shocked by Lola’s blasé attitude towards sex and tells Ben she’s already guessed the truth about him – it’s no big deal. Abi declares she’s hammered; she’s mortified when Kim reveals they’ve only been drinking fruit punch.
Jodie and Poppy move into the Moons’. The house is a tip; Poppy’s determined to set some ground rules.
Rose accuses Dot of being jealous of her friendship with Reverend Stevens. Dot denies it but is irritated when Rose intrudes when he calls round. When Dot reveals Rose’s past misdemeanours, including bigamy and jail time, Reverend Stevens is only further interested in her.
