Somerset

Round-the-world cyclist Mark Beaumont takes his bike to Somerset. His journey begins in the town of Cheddar, where he meets Tour of Britain cycle race organisers and finds out what it takes to put on the UK's biggest free-to-watch sporting event.

Then he heads into the dramatic Cheddar Gorge for a gruelling uphill race against one of the Tour's top cyclists. In the Regency town of Bath, Mark leaves the bike behind to see the Roman engineering behind the city's most famous site.
