Defending your property

A man's been bailed after he allegedly stabbed to death a man who tried to rob him at his home in Stockport. The government promised back in June that using "reasonable force" on intruders in your own home would not be committing a criminal offence. Do you agree? If you're faced with an intruder on your property, and you fear for your life - should there be special allowances in place if you kill them? Or - is killing just wrong, full stop? Is it ok - in certain circumstances - to kill a burglar?
