Darren Clarke was victorious, but hopes of a double celebration were dashed last night when Our Jim Eastwood fell at the final hurdle, coming fourth in this year's series of The Apprentice.
Darren Clarke is the new Open champion. The big man from Dungannon clinched his maiden major title with a three-shot victory at Royal St George in Sandwich yesterday.
