Sports journalist Jim Black, who was a close friend of footballer Jim Baxter, talks about the sportsman's life on and off the pitch.

2/4 Jim Baxter was one of Scotland's most talented footballers.

Starting work as an apprentice cabinet-maker he worked as a miner before beginning his professional career with Raith Rovers.

Moving to Rangers Football Club he was soon helping them fill the trophy cabinet.

Known as Slim Jim he played 34 times for Scotland.

Sports journalist Jim Black who was a close friend of Baxter's tells Bryan Cooney about the highs and lows of an extraordinary sportsman.
