The great John McEnroe reached seven successive finals in the late 1970s and early 1980s. With the top seeds, including Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray, being knocked out in the earlier rounds in 2010, Sam Querrey and Mardy Fish kept up America's proud record at the event's final. The 6ft 6ins tall Querrey prevailed, beating his great friend Fish 7-6 7-5.
