Bored and frustrated at home, Lauren bickers with Max, and teases Abi. Abi’s annoyed, no wonder Whitney fell out with her. Feeling guilty, Lauren leaves Whitney a voicemail apologizing and searches for Ryan’s number. Mo suggests she try Janine, who overhears and hides to avoid Lauren. Lauren’s frustrated when she can’t answer a call from Whitney’s number as her phone’s broken, and suspicious that Janine seems anxious to get away from her. Fatboy accesses Lauren’s voicemail; it’s not Whitney, but a man threatening trouble if Lauren calls again. Alarmed, Lauren confronts Janine; where’s Whitney?! Watched by Max and Ricky, Janine admits she doesn’t know.

Janine spoils the kids by giving them treats, much to Carol’s annoyance. Ricky’s relieved when Janine lies that she’s heard from Whitney, she’s coming home next week. Liam reveals he’s been suspended from school for hitting a kid who was teasing him about Bianca. Ricky realises the kids need Bianca, and takes them to see her. Carol tells Janine, the kids need stability and she can’t just swan in and out of their lives, but is annoyed when Janine tells her, if that’s what they all want, she’ll move in.

Left to look after George, Jodie leaves him with Heather while she goes shopping. Later, Darren arrives at the Launderette and is confused to see Heather with George, when Jodie rushes in from the back door, claiming she’s just been in the toilet.
Fatboy takes over the spare pitch on the marketplace, much to Mercy’s astonishment. Fatboy eventually tells her his parents are splitting up and his dad’s lost his job.
Abi hangs around outside the Arches all day, hoping to bump into Jay. She’s ecstatic when he comes out and suggests they meet up later in the Launderette.
