With Heaven 17

Andrew Collins sits in for Nemone and chats to Sheffield electronic soul and funk band Heaven 17.

Sheffield's hugely influential and ground-breaking electronic soul and funk pop band Heaven 17 embark on their 30th Anniversary Tour of their ground-breaking 1980 album Penthouse And Pavement.

This is the first time the band will perform the album in its entirety on a nationwide UK tour. Their song We Don't Need That Fascist Groove Thang was banned by Mike Reid at BBC Radio 1 due to the lyrical content .

Earlier this year Heaven 17 performed with La Roux as part of BBC 6 Music's radio TV special on BBC 4, which proved to be hugely successful with over 2 million hits on the interactive red button.
