Stephen McManus's dramatic late winner against Liechtenstein, coupled with the Czechs' surprise home defeat to Lithuania, have put the Scots in a favourable position in Group I. However, this always had the look of a crunch match against the team many feel will be Scotland's biggest rivals for second place in the group behind world and European champions Spain.
