As a result of low interest rates and poor investment opportunities through more formal channels, police say they seeing more cases being reported, as would-be investors are ripped-off for ever-increasing sums after being cold-called by sales staff.
The programme also gets the lowdown on the modus operandi of the criminals behind the hoax investments, as it hears from a former boiler room broker.
