The ungrammatical side of songwriting comes under Russell's didactic eye this week. Featured songs include You Can't Hardly Get Them No More and Your Feet's Too Big.

The ungrammatical side of songwriting - in particular song titles - comes under Russell's didactic eye this week, triggered by the inclusion of the Burke and Van Heusen song You Don't Have To Know The Language on a new album of Lena Horne favourites.

Thereafter, Russell parades a host of grammatical howlers, some intentional (You Can't Hardly Get Them No More; Your Feet's Too Big), some not (If I Knew you Were Coming I'd Have Baked A Cake; Where Are The songs We Sung). All together, they make up a pleasing listen and a good excuse for Russell to wag his professorial finger at the likes of Alan Jay Lerner, Noel Coward etc.
