The Hungaroring near Budapest is a narrow, twisting circuit but pole position has not been translated into a race victory since Michael Schumacher's triumph in 2004.
Fernando Alonso was the quickest qualifier last year, as he was in 2007, but was beaten in both races by Lewis Hamilton. The British driver clinched pole position in 2008, only to lose to team-mate Heikki Kovalainen.
