Air industry executives hope to hear how much compensation they will receive from Europe's national governments. United and Continental Airlines, currently the second and the fifth largest air carriers globally, announced their merger yesterday. BP will move to try and contain the oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico today by placing the first of three giant domes over the sources of the spill. Finally, the coldest winter in 30 years has meant big business for the Scotland's ski resorts.
