Coverage of the men's 5,000m final, with Chad Hedrick back to defend his crown. Hedrick's gold in Turin was one of three medals won at those Games by the American, although the 32-year-old has been struggling to match that form this season.

The favourite is Dutch world champion Sven Kramer, who has dominated this event since winning a silver medal behind Hedrick at the 2006 Winter Olympics.
