John Inverdale presents live coverage as the 12th IAAF World Championships reach the ninth and final day of competition in Berlin's Olympic stadium.

The final evening's programme promises one more night of drama. Kenya's Alfred Kirwa Yego is the defending men's 800m world champion, and he'll be desperate to reclaim that title, especially after being forced to settle for bronze behind compatriot Wilfred Bungei at 2008's Olympics.

A keen Scandinavian tussle is expected in the men's javelin, with Olympic champion Andreas Thorkildsen of Norway taking on Finnish world champion Tero Pitkamaki. Elsewhere, the finals of both the women's 1500m and long jump reach their conclusion, as does the men's 5000m. In traditional style, the women's and men's 4x400m relays bring proceedings to a close and the curtain down on another spectacular athletics event.
