As part of the BBC poetry season, Aled Jones visits the land of song and meets with Professor Gwyn Thomas, a former National Poet for Wales. He learns of his new words, which now describe the highest summit in England and Wales on Snowdon's new visitor centre, Hafod Eryri.

He also learns about the heavy slate quarrying industry that made the village of Llanberis as it stands today. Finally, Aled experiences an interesting flight with the RAF Valley search and rescue crew.
