Episode 5 of 24

Jim tends to the peach, cherry and vines, while Carole adds some new fruit to the blueberry tunnel. Lesley designs a new garden making the most of a confined space.

Jim and Carole are looking forward to fruity five-a-day with old fruit and new veg. Jim is in the fruit house tending to the peach, cherry and vines, while Carole is adding some new fruit to the blueberry tunnel: the aptly named honeyberry and the saskatoon.

We have had some tricky problems with our asparagus of late, and Carole and Jim have finally given up on the old patch and are starting again from scratch with the new crowns and new location.

Lesley masterminds the design and build of a new wee garden in Beechgrove, that will demonstrate the principles of garden design. A feast for the eye and for the palate, the garden boasts some clever devices to make the most of a confined space.
