The temperature drops at the Dower House.
Eddie's selling the 'finest continental chocolate' at a knock-down price. But he's a bit too vague about its origin. David and Ruth don't want any, especially when they learn that it's come from the back of Fat Paul's van.
Ruth's concerned that Pip's not eating properly so she's going to try to use only local produce for the family meals until Easter.
Tom takes Matt the figures for Tom Archer sausages and bacon but Matt's not in the mood to share Tom's enthusiasm. Wanting the meeting over quickly, he tells Tom to check that Brian's happy to sell and then he'll warm his legal boys up. Tom still can't get his head round Matt's complete change of mind over his investment, but nothing can shatter Tom's enthusiasm - especially when he learns Matt intends to be a sleeping partner.
Hearing how sharp Matt was with Tom, Lilian tells Matt to take his frustration out on the golf course but Matt no longer feels like playing. Lilian's concerned at why Tom's put Matt into a foul mood. Matt insists it's not just Tom. The whole damn world's bothering him with complete irrelevancies and he just wants to be left in peace.
