Jack Bruce
Edie Stark talks to singer and bassist Jack Bruce about his career with platinum-selling rock band Cream and his life offstage, including how he was saved by the love of his wife.
With powerful vocals and pioneering electric bass, the legendary Jack Bruce revolutionised rock music and set the bar so high, many would argue it's never been surpassed. Cream sold 35,000,000 albums in just over two years and were awarded the first ever platinum disc.
His life is also the stuff of rock legend. Acrimonious band split ups, fights on stage, divorce, drug addiction, near death, a liver transplant and the tragic death of a son. The love of his wife Margritt has, he tells Edi Stark, saved him. In this remarkable hour long special, we meet the man who continues to create sublime music exactly forty years after Cream floated away from their bereft fans.
