The concert includes works by the grand old man of Turkish music, Ahmed Adnan Saygun, who was to his country what Jean Sibelius is to Finland, and his contemporary Ulvi Cemal Erkin. Plus a new work by Michael Ellison for symphony orchestra, Turkish ensemble and solo cello, along with music by Mozart.
