Scotland have beaten the Springboks just once in 39 years, that victory coming in 2002 when Ian McGeechan's side triumphed 21-6. South Africa will arrive as world champions after their success in France last year, having dismissed Scotland 27-3 in one of the World Cup warm-up games.
