Partick Thistle v Rangers

Continued live action from the Co-Operative Insurance Cup as holders Rangers begin the defence of their trophy with a tricky away trip to Partick Thistle.

Walter Smith's side, who won last season's final in a penalty shoot out, have recovered well from their European exit at the start of this campaign. They recently defeated SPL champions Celtic 4-2 at Celtic Park and will be looking for a similar performance tonight.

The Jags have also made a solid start to the season in the first division and their boss Ian McCall will be hoping to spring a surprise on his old side in this Glasgow derby.
