Black teacher Ricardo Braithwaite gets a job in a tough East End school in post-war London. Stars Kwame Kwei Armah.

Rick Braithwaite is a handsome, ex-RAF pilot from Guyana who gets a job as a teacher in a radical school in post-war London's East End.

Once in the classroom, the students are tough, foul-mouthed and angry, proving unreceptive to his teaching methods...

Stars Kwame Kwei-Armah as Rick, Sasha Behar as Gillian, Simon Treves as Weston, Liza Sadovy as Clinty and Sam Dale as Mr Florian.

The first of a two-part adaptation of Guyanese author, ER Braithwaite's semi-autobiographical, international best-selling novel. Dramatised by Roy Williams.
