The BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra under chief conductor Ilan Volkov give the second premiere of the season by centenary composer Elliott Carter - a miniature piano concerto performed by Nicolas Hodges. lban Gerhardt is soloist in the challenging Symphony-Concerto by Prokofiev written for the great Russian cellist Mstislav Rostropovich.
