The second Tuesday last year saw the elimination of defending women's champion Amelie Mauresmo, who was beaten in three sets by Nicole Vaidisova. A year ago today most of the women's 4th round matches were delayed by rain, though Svetlana Kuznetsova still managed to bring Tamira Paszek's spectacular run to a raucous climax.
