Ed bites the bullet.

Adam admits to Ian that unless something miraculous happens at the 'summit meeting' with Brian on Wednesday, he's unlikely to commit the next twenty years to Home Farm. Ian's supportive saying that if Adam needs to move, then he's happy to go with him, just as long as they're together.

Ed turns up unexpectedly at Emma's to discuss his concerns about Nic's behaviour towards George. Emma agrees to talk to Will when he drops George back later. Initially annoyed at Ed sticking his nose in, Will's thrown when Emma mentions that Ed had been there when Nic had shut George in his room. Feeling confused, he accuses Emma of poisoning George's mind against Nic. When Emma says she just doesn't want George going to Casa Nueva if Will's not there, Will storms out saying that she won't stop him seeing his son just because of his "crackhead" brother's lies. Later, when Emma tells Susan she's going to ask George about it, Susan says not to; she knows who she'd believe between Nic and Ed.

When unsettled Will gets back to Casa Neuva he looks fondly on as Nic's reading Jake a bedtime story and impulsively tells her he really loves her. Puzzled Nic replies that she loves him too.
