Singer Emma Kirkby introduces a selection of listeners' requests, ranging from a children's opera by Hans Krasa to Vaughan Williams' song cycle On Wenlock Edge.

There is also music performed on the oldest-playable lute in existence and its restorer Michael Lowe joins Emma in the studio.
