When William falls in love with Dr Tara Lyer, a psychologist on Mum's new television show Ask the Not Quite an Expert, his school work suffers. For the first time ever, Alistair is the brainy one in the family. In fact he does so well in a French test that Dad promotes him to Number One Son. However, Dr Tara decides that Will is suffering from middle child syndrome, for which there is only one cure. The family must stop being nice to Alistair.
