It is careers day at school and Lottie wins a week's work experience with a local businessman. Unfortunately it is Gunther Van Halen, the monster hunter, and when Nine sees Lottie with Gunther, he flees to the castle. Lottie convinces Nine she is still his friend, and the pair try to convince Van Halen to give up monster hunting.
