Dr Azzam Tamimi

Israel is tightening the noose around Gaza by cutting off the electricity and plunging the coastal strip into darkness. The Israeli Prime Minister is adamant that the Palestinian territory will get a bare minimum of fuel and other supplies as long as Islamic movement Hamas remains in charge. Palestinian born academic Dr Azzam Tamimi is a supporter of Hamas and the author of a book on the group. Jonathan Charles asks if he can see a way forward out of the current gloom.
