Snooker's most prestigious award. 2007's winner, Ronnie O'Sullivan, earned a 10-3 win over China's Ding Junhui. He starts the defence of his title in his match against this season’s Northern Ireland Trophy champion, Stephen Maguire. Also featured this afternoon is 2005 World Champion, Shaun Murphy, against 28-year-old Ali Carter from Tiptree in Essex. Rishi Persad, Steve Davis and John Parrott present.
