Robert's skills are in demand.

Andrew can't take Nic and the kids to her mum's on Boxing Day as planned, so Will's hoping Clarrie can help. Knowing Clarrie's going to be too busy, Eddie offers to take Nic - providing Will covers for his beating at the shoot. Will has no option but to reluctantly agree.

Jason offers Eddie some work at the village hall, starting Thursday. Eddie's too busy but suggests Robert. On meeting Robert, Jason hopes there's a Robert junior, but in desperation he settles for what he can get, eventually persuading Robert to start on Friday.

Robert's daughters are home for Christmas. Shula invites them all to her drinks party on Thursday but Robert has to decline - Coriander and Leonie have arranged a cultural day for them in Birmingham. Shula insists they call in at some other time to meet Jim.

Jamie thinks it's cool that Kathy's not working over Christmas. Shula invites Kenton and Kathy to her drinks party but Kenton declines when he knows that Elizabeth's been invited. Shula presumes it's due to Kathy being off work but Kenton explains Kathy's not up to a family do, and rebuffs further questions.
