Adam finds himself out of the loop.

Adam is amused when David is forced to divert Bert's attention from the guy that the children have made. Dressed in Bert's old clothes, it bears more than a passing resemblance to Bert himself, and David and Ruth are forced to re-fashion it to avoid embarrassment. Meanwhile, David and Ruth enjoy looking at some pictures sent to them by the children from the farm visit.

Jennifer receives a call from Alice updating her on her progress in South Africa - but Alice is still unwilling to talk to Brian. Later, Adam is unimpressed when he is forced to return to Home Farm to unload 25 tonnes of fertiliser ordered by Brian without Adam's knowledge. Tired Adam works hard to unload the bags, and isn't placated by Brian's apology. Brian assures Adam that the order was a snap purchase that simply slipped his mind, but Adam insists that he should be fully involved on all decisions on the farm.
