In 1994 Marie-Louise Muir trekked the boundary between Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic. This summer she retraces her footsteps, beginning her journey in Londonderry.

Now in 2017, as Brexit negotiations continue, it's time to take a trip back in time with Marie-Louise Muir and to hear what life was like living on the border between Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic in 2005 in Border Lives.

In this the first programme in this series she begins her journey in her home city - Londonderry.
