Documentary examining the influence Jackie had on teenage girls. Avid reader Lesley Riddoch gives an insight into the magazine that defined teenage girls.
The Jackie was more than a teenage girls' magazine - it was an icon of a new age. For generations of girls it was their big sister, agony aunt, best mate, doctor, pop fan, shoulder to cry on and guide to the morality of this new strange world where girls could only be slags or teases.
Avid reader Lesley Riddoch gives us an insight into the magazine that invented the teenage girl and the girls who created the magazine.
