Ed's amazed that everyone seems to know about his and Fallon's Devon holiday: even Jamie wishes him well! Kenton calls Elizabeth about the family photo, asking if she and Shula have reconsidered their decision to 'exclude Kathy'. Elizabeth insists it's complicated. Jamie would have to be in the photo if Kathy was, but Meriel isn't - it was a difficult decision. Kenton eventually agrees, but now has to tell Kathy.

Later, Kenton and Kathy relax at April Cottage. Kathy thanks him for his support, and for talking to Jamie. Kenton brings up the subject of the photograph. He's really worried but Kathy completely understands: she doesn't feel like it anyway.

Emma bumps into Jazzer in the Bull; her mum's been nagging her to get out. Jazzer tells her Fallon and Ed have gone away to a posh hotel. He's thrilled for them, and Emma tries to put on a brave face.

Ed and Fallon drive down, listening to music, and chatting excitedly about the hotel. When they arrive, they see the sea and Ed's desperate for a paddle, although it's freezing. They splash about in the waves but then Ed falls over on a rock, injuring his toe. Fallon insists they head to A&E.
