David and Ruth go back to school.

Things are moving forward on the house-buying front for Roy and Hayley. All Hayley has to do is post off the cheque for the survey. But secretly they both have doubts it's the right place for them. Later, when Hayley and Phoebe go to the post office to post the cheque, Phoebe bursts into tears, saying she doesn't want to move away from her friends. Roy's relieved when Hayley tells him she feels the same. Mike's chuffed when Hayley asks if it's ok to stay at Willow Farm for a little while longer.

It's the day of the school visit and David, Ruth, Jill and Bert welcome the children from Wolverhampton to Brookfield. David shows them their bull, Bert talks about ploughing, Jill shows them some calves and Ruth takes them to the milking parlour. The visit goes well, but Ruth worries about one little girl, Courtney, who initially seems to be terrified of everything. But after some mentoring from Ruth and Jill, Courtney seems to come out of herself a bit and have fun. They all toast the successful day with a cup of tea in Brookfield yard!
