Brenda learns from The Master.

David takes Josh fishing but can't stay. Tony can't stay long either. Tony and Mike feel it's time others got involved in fishing with the children. Mike tells Tony that he's going to the theatre on his next date. It's something new but Mike admits Wendy's getting him out of his old habits. Mike also tells Tony that he's still looking at smaller houses but with no luck. He's not ready to downsize yet, even if it would free up money for the kids. His life's not over and who knows what might happen.

Brenda and Fallon are pleased that Emma's date seemed to go well. Fallon admits that she's ordered a pretty special present for Ed's birthday but Brenda's distracted when Matt calls. It sounds like bad news and Brenda assumes the Penny Hasset planning appeal's been turned down. Matt teases Brenda before finally telling her it's been passed. They celebrate her success at the Bull, where Fallon shows Brenda Ed's present. Brenda thinks the original 1980s Transformer model is amazing. Fallon worries that it's over the top. Brenda's not sure how Fallon feels about Ed but assures her it's a great present and Ed's going to love it.
