Sporting poems. Film the Welsh squad in training, take five poets with a passion for rubgy. Bring the two together, with the words read by Matthew Rhys and Eve Myles.
The programme features members of the Welsh rugby squad as they prepare for the World Cup. It captures the physicality, grace, effort, dynamism and sweat of rugby players taken position by position, harnessed to newly commissioned poems from Welsh poets Owen Sheers, Gillian Clarke, Kathryn Gray, Phil Carradice and Paul Henry with a brief interview from all the poets. The poems are read by two Welsh actors, Matthew Rhys and Eve Myles.
